AOFM Aftercare & Support Plan

Our aftercare support program is there for you for as long as you need us. You can take and repeat any of our FREE Master classes for as long as you like. This programme is only open to graduates of our Professional Make Up and Hair or our Total PRO Creative Specialist certificates although some of the subjects are open to all students regardless of what course you have taken.

London Fashion Week Master Class
AOFM has become one of the leading fashion makeup schools with a renowned name in the fashion industry. Every year we head a number of shows during London, New York and Paris Fashion Weeks. Because of this and our industry contacts we are able to offer selective graduates opportunities to assist backstage on shows to give an unparalleled on-the-job training experience. AOFM graduates are invited to our Fashion Trial master class days which take place every season where you will be assessed for the opportunity of working backstage with us. Dermalogica Beauty Masterclass
AOFM is the only make up school in the UK exclusively sponsored by Dermalogica. Dermalogica offer our students a full day's beauty training covering all aspects of skin prep beauty for make up artists. The Fashion Designer Seminar
AOFM is proud to introduce guest Paris designer Raffaele Barriello. Previously collections director for Yves Saint Laurent, GUCCI and Sonia Rykel, Raffaele now has his own brand in stores across the world including the famous Sax Fifth Avenue store in New York.
Raffaele will give you an informative insight into the world of Paris couture, how he designed his brand and how he works with make up artists.

The Portfolio - Your Number One Tool
As AOFM offer 30 currently working make up and hair artists, represented by 8 of London's leading agencies, we are able to show a much wider selection of portfolios from beauty editorial to high fashion Avant-garde so you can see examples of how you can create the same. We will talk about building your book and how to place images, as well as where to buy one and how to put one together.

AOFM will also invite a professional portfolio company to this class so that students have the option to choose and order their new portfolio on the day with our guidance.

Industry Etiquette Seminar
Many students fail because they don't understand the etiquette requirements of working in this industry. We will teach you step by step on how to act and present yourself whilst working in the industry. Our guest backstage make up artist who works with 40 designers on their catwalk shows each year will guide you through working backstage and on the job etiquette as a make up artist and an assistant.

Business Cards, Web Design and Marketing Masterclass
AOFM will show you how to create your new business cards and how to build your client base through the web.
We will explain in detail the best web and print advertising to promote yourself. You will also leave with a list of printing and web contacts to help you establish yourself.

Personal and Business Accounting Seminar
Understand tax with our qualified guest accountant.

MAC Masterclasses
AOFM offer 2 free MAC Masterclasses each year. This champagne and canape evening event will be hosted by Mac at AOFM by 2 members of the MAC Pro team who teach our students new catwalk and creative make up looks. Once you have completed any of our courses you are eligible to attend the MAC masterclass for as long as you like.

National Association of Screan Make Up Artists and hairdressers (Nasmah)
Nasmah is the only make up artist association in the UK.
All good make up schools are part of this association. AOFM is proud to be a full member of Nasmah and will invite Nasmah to talk to you more about the industry and the benefits of joining their association.

The Fashion Shoot Demonstration (Testing)
As a new make up artist it's crucial to work on your book and shoot as much as you can, as this is your selling tool for you and your career. AOFM will offer students the chance to see our PRO Team in action, where we will create an editorial look from start to finish. Before your eyes this will include make up, hair styling, nails and photography to print.
Students will be able to ask questions throughout the process and get involved in creating the over editorial look.

Becca Cosmetics Event
AOFM is the only school in the UK to be sponsored by Becca Cosmetics. This beautiful and professional brand will hold a champagne reception exclusively for our students. At this event students will be able to see product demonstrations and take advantage of their AOFM discounts.

Contacts and Network Building Seminar
Making professional contacts as a make up artist is everything and if you want to be in this industry you need to excel at this. We know that as a new student it can be daunting and hard to know what direction to go in when first starting out. How do you find photographers and models to shoot with for that all important portfolio?

Fashion Shoot editorial Master class
Our very own pro Team  will cover a wide range of creative editorial looks and session trends to inspire our students. He will also share with you up-to-date tricks of the trade and a few new techniques.

Creative High Fashion Masterclass
With our very own Pro Team member, Michelle Web who is known in the industry as a master of creative make up design.
