Kinyan Lim’s collection, part of the wider HKFG Autumn Winter 2025 presentation, embraced imperfection and intimacy, inspiring a raw, stripped-back beauty look that highlighted skin texture and emotional expression.

AOFM makeup school graduates began by prepping the skin with Dermalogica’s Ultra Calming range, focusing hydration under the eyes and around the lips. They applied foundation sparingly, then gently removed areas to reveal the model’s natural skin. Rather than conceal, the goal was to connect—to let each model’s unique features come through.

The team layered soft, skin-toned reds under the eyes, mimicking natural flush or tiredness in a way that felt real and intentional. For the lips, artists custom-mixed warm neutrals and pressed colour in with fingertips, creating a diffused, imperfect stain that blurred into the skin.
