A self-professed bookworm, Steven Tai’s unique blend of intellect and irony presents a refreshingly new take on the woman who stands confidently apart from the mainstream, we love working with his vision and this year he did not disappoint.
This London fashion week he stuck to his geeky girl aesthetics, dressing the models in “neutral garments to count sheep and yawn at the responsibilities of the waking world”. The look was very minimalistic with a nod to the fellow consumer he asked our AOFM graduates to keep it simple, very natural to compliment the neutral tones of the garments and wanted the models looking fresh and so with the help of our fellows from Dermalogica, they wanted subtle hints of rosie cheeks to depict a more mischievous look, and our graduate team were prepped to truly ensure the ladies at the Steven Tai AW1718 LFW shone.
As his slogan said “sleep now work later” without evoking too much effort the aim was very simple ensure the models had great skin and looked fresh and young with minimalistic make up, truly an ode to the intellectual style that nods straight back to the brilliance that is Steven Tai.
