Fatema Fardan hosted her presentation on Friday the 13th at New York Fashion week with special guests including Julia Restoin Rotfield and Rachel Zoe.
Aofm graduates arrived at the location where there were people building real flower walls for the presentation. Head artist Yin Lee designed a makeup that was dark and sultry yet timeless and elegant. Starting with cleansing the skin using Dermalogica cleanser followed by a spritz of Multi Active Toner and hydrating the skin with Skin Smoothing Cream. A dab of lip balm was applied to smooth the lips and eyelashes were curled. The AOFM graduates created a light beautiful base that made skin seem flawless. Eyebrows were brushed up and filled in slightly which made a groomed looking finish. The waterline was lined with a light beige pencil and Mac Groundwork paint pot was applied on the upper lid and shaded under the eye to give a slight sultry feel. We used a dark brown Rock ‘n’ Kohl pencil from Charlotte Tilbury to line the upper lashline with a slight flick at the end. To make it less harsh and more timeless this line was faded and blended with a small brush. The lips were darkened with Diva Lipstick from Mac in a rounded shape that created a timeless and elegant touch and the look was finished with the Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette from Charlotte Tilbury slightly contouring the cheekbones and Highlighting the top of them. On the apple of the cheek the Aofm team applied a touch of Peony cream colour from Stila which finished of the makeup.
It was incredible to see the finished looks on the models while they were standing in front of the custom made flower walls during the presentation for Fatema Fardan A/W15 for New York Fashion Week. AOFM graduates should be proud of their work!
